Bats, or Bash Automated Testing System, is a TAP-compliant testing framework designed for Bash 3.2 and above. It allows users to easily verify that their UNIX programs function as intended. While primarily aimed at testing software written in Bash, it can also be utilized for any UNIX program. The framework includes features for setting up tests, managing outputs, and executing tests in parallel.
