R2DBC

R2DBC, or Reactive Relational Database Connectivity, offers a standard API for reactive programming with relational databases. It is based on the Reactive Streams specification, enabling a fully-reactive, non-blocking approach to database interactions. Unlike traditional JDBC, R2DBC supports scalable solutions by allowing multiple connections without the need for a dedicated thread per connection. This open specification facilitates the development of drivers by vendors and consumption by clients.
